So have you made your New Year’s resolutions yet? ‘No’ you say ‘Can’t be bothered’. Or maybe ‘ They’ll just get broken anyway.’ So how was 2007 for you? Did you lose that weight you wanted to? Did you get all those new customers/clients you were hoping for? The truth is, if you keep doing the same things you did in 2007 then you’re going to be right here again on Dec 31st 2008!
So why not start fresh with some New Year’s resolutions. Studies show that people who set goals achieve more in life then those that don’t. In fact people who write down their goals & refer to them regularily, accomplish even more.
So what does it take to set & accomplish some goals for yourself this year? A little time & some effort, that’s all. Notice how I added the word ‘accomplish‘ to that first sentence? It’s easy to set goals for the year. If you’re the lazy type, just grab a piece of paper & write down half a dozen things you’d like to do this year. File it away in a drawer somewhere & forget about it. Piece of cake right? So why didn’t you accomplish more last year? You lost that weight, then put it right back on again, maybe even more. You gained a few new clients but lost some along the wayside.
Now suppose you actually wanted to accomplish something this year? Remember, success isn’t a one-time destination, to be truely successful, make it a permanent address. When you achieve your goals, keep working on them. Once you’ve lost that weight, continue exercising & eating properly. Because as soon as you stop (you quit) your body goes right back to where it was beforehand.
You must change your behaviour & your mindset if you’re going to be successful for the rest of your life. Learn new techniques – execise routines, marketing strategies, networking skills, etc – to reach your goals. Then make those new techniques a routine of your daily life.
You can accomplish everything you’ve always wanted. Take control of youryourself & your life. Make your dreams come true! Aren’t you worth it?
